I was honoured to have been asked to partake in the Christie’s LATES Interiors Sale event, 8 King Street on Monday 8th April 2019 from 6pm to 8.30pm.
My challenge was to style and decorate to two Italian tables using objects and furniture from the sale as well as my printed wares. The concept was to create a relaxed setting for breakfast for one and a more formal tête-à-tête dinner for two. The evening was a celebration of mixing the old with the new and the arrival of Spring.
My prints were inspired by my favourite flower, the Tulip and the late, Vera Neumann, a textile and homeware designer, who’s use of bright garish colours and painterly texture is something I admire hugely. I also hosted a paper printing workshop and showcased my new range of hand painted glass carafes and tumblers in a pop up shop.
Thank you to all those who came and supported me, really appreciate it and I hope you had a lovely time.
